  31. I liked how the author ended this book because he told us that Bardy actually faound his father. In the text it said, " ....and where the red owl had been sat Enrique." Also, the author ended this book telling us that Leon likes trees! The author wrote, " I love old trees" said Leon. Next,I love that the author answered my question: Did Leon find his job? Well, the text said, " I've got a job. ....... The fish hatchery needs a good man this season." Lastly, the author made us infer that Leon is now a environmentalist! According to the text it said, ..... Maybe I'll even see if I can get a job showing those environmentalists where to find the last fish in the last clean streams...." The last chapter is quite full of change. One thing I don't like is that the author wrote, Enrique flew to the Douglas fir and called to his mate..... but no owl answered him. It's kind of sad and confusing because we don't know what happened to Enrique's mate and plus, it makes me feel like Enrique is now deserted.

Also Bardy is free to fly when ever he want's and doesn't have to be held by a leash !!
