Chapter twelve is called Flying Lessons. If you could give this chapter another name what would it be? Provide evidence from the chapter to support your answer.
I don't think that it is quite a good title. Bardy doesn't know how to fly that well. He is still learning. I would be better if you said learning to fly.
If I could name this chapter I would name it trying to fly because it said bardy flapped his wings ran in a big circle as he flapped it lifted himself up but he fell back down to the ground.
an other name you could use for this chapter is "Little man".I think it would be good because in the text Bardy follows Leon all over the place but dose not do the things owls do.also, in the text it said " so much for that," he said "You make a very good human being, but you are a lousy owl."
I agree Maddie. But, you said Little Man. When you wrote Man in the title, I start thinking, I wonder, is Bardy going to copy what people do for the rest of his life? That's why I like the title, it keeps me wondering after reading all of those other chapters. It kin of seems like that now, Bardy is in two worlds, the world he is in, the world of people, and the world he was in, the world of owls.
A good name for this chapter would be the hard work of flying because it was mostly about how bardy was learning to fly but couldn't so it was hard for Leon to teach bardy and for him to not learn anything.
If I could give this chapter another title it would be Bardy's First Flight because during the chapter bardy starts to fly for his first time and that's why I think another title for this chapter should be Bardy's First Flight.
If i could name this chapter i think it could also be learning to fly.I think that because he was trying to fly on his own by running in circles and flapping his wings.
I wonder if they are going to try a flying lesson in this chapter.I can't believe that Brady said Borden would not do well with the owl's flying lesson,even when he knows that the owl loves him and he liks the owl.P.S that is ruuuuuuuuuude.
If I could rename this chapter, I would name it Moving On. It's when Bardy starts to fly and Leon actually said that he likes Bardy. Plus, he is not even going to the meeting where the tree cutters asked him to help raise the ban, he said: I'm not going to that meeting. He even wrote a note that said, REMOVE OWL AFTER SHOWERING. Plus, after the lumberman clear-cut, the next job, the fisherman, will be losing his job. Just like Jimmy's father. So the jobs move on, each one being stopped after the other. Everything in this chapter is about things moving on. Even Leon knows that he should move on and start to love Bardy.
For chapter 12 it said if you could change the name of this book you would name the book. I would name the book Leon and Bardy because it is moslye about Leon and bardy.
I would name this chapter soon to fly.I would name it this because in the text it said bardy fluttered softly down to Borden's feet.And I know fluttering is one of the first steps to learn how to start flying.

I think the chapter could be called Leon helped fly I think that because Leon helped Bardy try to fly no matter how hard it was. Also Bardy didn't try to run away even if it was hard Bardy Had faith that he could do it and he did it and Bardy couldn't have done it with out Leon. Another thing is that Leon wasn't giving up and going inside cause he couldn't do it and Bardy couldn't so I think was saying you can do it Bardy a bunch of times in his head.
it is weird that Bardy goes in the shower with Leon, and I think that is why Bardy is on the cover of the book in the show because Borden found Bardy, he is raising Bardy, when Leon saw Bardy he did not like him and told Borden to shoot Bardy, and then Leon started to get along with Bardy.

If I could give chapter 12 a different name it would be Bardy Flies For The First Time. In the text it says on page 89 Bardy took off from the stump,sailed to the ground, and ran in a big circle, flapping. As he ran and flapped, the flapping lifted him off the ground. That's what I would call chapter 12 if I could give it a different name.
