I think Leon is very nice to feed Bardy.I am glade he did not just leave him to die when nowon was there to feed Bardy but him. I am suprised hegave him a home and fed him. Bardy must think he is his father.

leon is cheerful and fun because leon was feeding bardy instead of just sitting there and doing nothing. Also in the morning when he saw that the owl ate none of his food he got worried that bardy was going to die with out the food.
I am thinking Leon's mood changed from grumpy to caring.He was grumpy because he told Borden multiple times to shoot bardy.Then,he changed to caring. he changed to caring because Borden persuaded Leon to see bardy as not a spotted owl. and that made Leon caring to bardy.
I think the owlet feels happy to be fed too. I think Leon is changing from being mean to Bardy, to being kind to Bardy! Leon's mood changes a lot. I think he gets used to things once he has some time with them. I saw in the contents, there was a chapter that said " bonded". I bet Leon and Bardy had become friends hopefully, this is a sign that Leon will not wring his neck. I wonder how would the owlet feel when his neck is wrung?

Leon is very kind and brave to do these things for Bardy. It is so introesting how some own who uost to hunt owls is now doing all these things to keep one owlet alive.
Borden cares a lot about Bardy. He seems to be quite caring! I have noticed that his mood has changed. When I first opened this book, I thought that Borden was rude and mean. But now I see that Borden's behavior is because that his father had lost his job. If the story started explaining why Borden was behaving this way, then I bet we will understand him more. Now I feel how much Borden cares for the owlet. I love how Bardy is such a brave owlet. He wasn't scared when Borden took him home, and he didn't cry when he fell from the nest. I like how Bardy is this way. Leon now I've found out isn't the same as Borden. Borden only hates spotted owls, but Leon hates all owls. Even if he gave in to Borden, he doesn't seem very excited to care for Bardy. He even insisted to wring Bardy's neck!
Leon's character traits are kind.Hes kind because when he saw that Bardy only wanted the tail he cut it of.He is also sort of mean.Hes mean because he said "And I'm going to see that he lives until the court hearing--after which I'll wring his neck''.The last words in the sentince "I'll wring his neck",It dose not sound very nice to me.

I think Leon is very thoughtful too! He is very smart because he knows after shouting about shooting owls, I think he thinks that maybe he should appreciate Bardy and let him live. But he also wants to wring Bardy's neck. It kind of seems like Leon balanced everything out some good things, and some bad things. I like that he is this way, because when you're in this way, you usually give up doing the bad thing.
I am glad you said that! I had a question before of why Sally went into her room. Now I know she does that because she's sad! I think she doesn't like to be sad in the public, so she goes to her room, so that she will not have to explain her feelings and create bigger problems.

ReplyDeleteI am like Bardy because i like my food a special way. Like how he had a mouse tail and he was still hungry and Leon had to cut the mouse up. He also reminds me of my dad because my dad and I are a picky eater.
